Authentic Designer Sunglasses

Sunglasses are a niche fashion item. Not only are they a fantastic topper to any outfit but they are one of the very few fashion items that can boast serving both form and function. Just as one slathers on sun screen in order to protect their skin, one can put on some great sunglasses to protect their eyes. You can choose from a mixture of colors and styles, but one thing is certain, no matter what you choose, eye wear never goes out of style.
Have you ever wondered how these stylish fashion accessories came to be? Well it would probably surprise you that according to history, sunglasses actually date back even prior to the 12th century. The Inuit people used to wear disks from walrus tusks with little slits to cover their eyes. In Rome, the emperor Nero used to use emeralds and in Ancient China, people used to wear flat panels of smoky quartz. A Person by the name of James Ayscough was the initial person to try with different tinted lenses in the mid 18th century, although his experiments had to do more with trying to help people who were visually impaired as opposed to sun protection. Also, since a symptom of the disease Syphilis is sensitivity to light, amber or brown tined lenses were made for those infected with it.
Ray-Ban sunglasses is more than likely one of the most well known and sort after brand of sunglasses in the world. First founded in 1937 by Bausch and Lomb for the United States Army Air Corps after a man who flew in hot air balloons complained that the sun had recently impaired his vision and asked Bausch and Lomb to create something stylish looking to protect his eyes from the sun. Thus Ray-Ban sunglasses were created. The most recent styles of Ray-Ban Sunglasses are made with carbon fiber frames, strong, lightweight and not easily distorted by heat, the sunglasses are seen sported by many people including celebrities. They produce some of the most basic and long lasting styles such as the aviator and the wayfarer.
So put a pair of sunglasses on today, and make sure you have your sunscreen on too.
